According to Information Research Inc. Holiday 2009 Forecast, nearly half of all shoppers will have already started their holiday shopping by November 1st. The shopping season is in full swing with less than a month to Black Friday and less than 2 months until Christmas Day. Holiday shoppers are already taking advantage of discounts so read on to find out some of the predicted 2009 trends. So what are you waiting for? Start promoting!

The National Retail Federation is predicting a 1% decline in holiday sales this year. However, when compared to last year’s 3.4% drop in holiday sales, 2009 shopping isn’t looking too bad. What will some of the trends be this year?

New Policies for Marketplaces & Aggregators on Google Product Search

Today we’re happy to introduce multi-client accounts as a solution to help aggregators and marketplaces manage feeds for multiple sellers under a single account. By allowing marketplaces better control over their sellers’ product data, shoppers get more accurate and relevant information when they search for things to buy on Product Search, and individual sellers don’t need to submit their own feeds. The multi-client accounts allow aggregators and marketplaces to consolidate and manage data feeds and reporting for sub-accounts, submit changes more rapidly, and get more accurate Google Checkout badging at the seller level. Marketplaces and aggregators will be required to use multi-client accounts to submit and manage their sellers’ feeds starting on December 1st, 2009.

Italy – general area of Tuscany – called Etruria.
They descended from Villanovans (people from central Europe) and before that from early Bronze Age peoples that had occupied Italy since 3000 BC
Villanovan people brought Iron Age culture to Italian Peninsula around f1000 BC

Etruscans emerge around 8th century BC. This was about the same time that the Greeks first began to settle along the Southern shores of Italy and Sicily.

See, I signed up for this year’s Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Lock Up.

That’s because MDA helps kids with Muscular Dystrophy get what they need to be mobile, to be active… to be kids. They also provide a wide range of services to Moms and Dads to help them better cope with the challenges of raising a special kid.

I have personally seen the good these guys do and so I am asking my friends to help.

If I can get just 32 friends to donate $25 then we can send a kid to camp this year. At MDA Camp kids get to learn all kinds of skills to help them lead more productive, normal lives…and they have a great time doing it.

Google Reaches Out to Small Business In this ever changing hi-tech world many small businesses get left in the dust. But Google has built much of their success on reaching out to the little guy. With tools such as AdWords, AdSense, Wiki’s, and the ever-evolving slew of beta programs-Google is equipping small business owners with the tools they need to stay competitive.

I recently talked with Rod and Vanda Lancour of Support Hose Store about how they utilize Google services to increase their business. Rod and Vanda run a small, internet-based business that sells medical support hose and stockings. They have been working with Google for years to keep their website competitive- and it’s working; The Support Hose Store is consistently at the top of Google searches for their keywords….
