JetPack by WordPress is an easy to use (for the most part) super plugin that extends the functionality of your Connections ProSites WordPress site in many ways. JetPack is enabled by default on all Connections ProSites WordPress sites. I have also done basic configuration on most of ProSites clients site. If you have sharing buttons on the bottom of each post on your site, I have done the basic configuration for you. You need to have a WordPress.com User ID and password to take full advantage of JetPacks features.

The settings for JetPack are on the top menu tab on the left side of you WordPress dashboard.

Here is a listing of JetPacks’s features:

1. WordPress.com Stats – Nerd Level 1 – Simple, concise site stats. Just turn it on!
2. Publicize – Nerd Level 2 – Connect your site to popular social networks and automatically share new posts with your friends. Some configuration required.
3. Notifications –  Nerd Level 1 – Monitor and manage your site’s activity with Notifications in your Toolbar and on WordPress.com. Just turn it on!
4. JetPack Comments –  Nerd Level 1 – A new comment system that has integrated social media login options. Just turn it on!
5. Subscriptions –  Nerd Level 2 – Allow users to subscribe to your posts and comments to receive a notification via email.
6. Post by Email –  Nerd Level 2 – Publish posts to your blog directly from your personal email account.
7. Carousel –  Nerd Level 1 – Transform your standard image galleries into an immersive full-screen experience. Just turn it on!
8. Likes –  Nerd Level 1 – WordPress Likes are a way for people to show their appreciation for content you have written. It’s also a way for you to show the world how popular your content has become. Just turn it on!
9. Sharing –  Nerd Level 1 – The most super duper sharing tool on the interwebs. Share content with Facebook, Twitter, and many more. Just turn it on!
10. Spelling and Grammar –  Nerd Level 1 – Improve your spelling, style, and grammar with the After the Deadline Proofreading service. Just turn it on!
11. VaultPress –  Nerd Level 2 – Realtime backup and security scanning for your WordPress site. With a monthly subscription, the VaultPress plugin will backup your site’s content, themes, and plugins in real-time, as well as perform regular security scans for common threats and attacks. View Plans & Pricing.
12. Gravitar Hovercards –  Nerd Level 1 – Show a pop-up business card of your users’ gravatar profiles in comments. Just turn it on!
13. Contact Form –  Nerd Level 2 – Easily insert a contact form any where on your site.
14. Tiled Galleries –  Nerd Level 1 – Create elegant magazine-style mosaic layouts for your photos without using an external graphic editor. Just turn it on!
15. WP.me Shortlinks –  Nerd Level 1 – Enable WP.me-powered shortlinks for all of your Posts and Pages for easier sharing. Just turn it on!
16. Mobile Theme –  Nerd Level 1 – Automatically optimize your site for mobile devices. If you currently have a responsive website design don’t turn this on.
