Ghost Blogger
I am doing something crazy. I am going to consolidate all of my sites into one site. For the most part at least.
I am a professional ghost blogger among other things. I produce blog entries for my clients literally every day. The thing is I almost never post for myself and almost never for my business. Do I have anything to talk about?
I have been watching the progress SpaceX has been having on their Starship/Super-Heavy progress down in Boca Chica. While watching their amazing progress take place I kept looking up when some trivial events happened in the process and it was a real pain.
One weekend I started a spreadsheet to track some of the events with links to the source material. Over the coming days, I kept opening up the spreadsheet and editing it as new events occurred. After about a week of this, it became apparent that I was going to be keeping this up to date without much prodding
Then it dawned on me. What if there was a way to put this on a website and make it searchable? If only there was a way to do this inexpensively without taking up a bunch of time. It quickly dawned on me that maybe a blog would be a good way to track daily events.
Then I remembered “Hey Kenneth! You know a guy that owes you, does this shit for a living and owns a state of the art WordPress blogging system!”
“Who is that?” I ask. “You, you moron,” I answer. (Yes I know answering yourself is a sign of insanity. Are you all just noticing this?)
I have now posted on SpacexStatusReport.com 68 days in a row.
What Is Different?
- I am going to be posting a lot. A minimum of once a day.
- KennethJackson.Tech will be my central web presence.
- I am going to be reposting most client work
- I am going to post my tech notes in rough form.
- I will randomly edit posts.
- Specialty Sites
- SpaceXStatusReport.com – All things SpaceX
- AmaKit.Dev – Swift Programming Language
